Skate and Ski along the arno til Jan 27

Firenze Water Park has ice skate and snowboard/snow ski info along the arno, til the end of January, along the Lungarno Aldo Moro (at the Obihall). A skating rink, and a track for ski and snowboards, is part of the winter park. There is also a restaurant, bar, area of spectator stands for enjoying the pasttime of people watching. Check out the link for more info, opening times, costs, location etc.

Quick view of location map, a few photos and videos are at other links as well.

Lungarno Aldo Moro (at Obihall) location (in Italian, look for the link which says "contatti")

"Dove Siamo" is the link with directions on how to get to the location.

The general location is just outside the ZTL Florence zone (ZTL is the restricted driving zone). I will always be walking, taking the bus, or riding in someone else´s car, so this doesn´t really affect me, but I added a link which explains further, for anyone with a car, or even using a bicycle etc).

Ponte Vecchio to Ponte alle Grazie, past Ponte San Niccolo, past Ponte Giovanni da Verrazzano, continue along Lungarno Aldo Moro/SS67 to the Teatro Tenda bus stop just before the roundabout. Is a bit past the roundabout, and to the right towards the river, at a 45 degree angle to the roundabout. If taking the bus, take a 14 from SMN. (Careggi Piazza, La Massa_V). Big white concrete tent building reminds me a bit of the DIA, roundabout with umbrella of water fountain.

Maybe a 10- 40 minute or so walk depending upon how quickly or leisurely you walk, lovely views, directly along the river from Ponte Vecchio ...past the Ponte Giovanni da Verrazzano...to the umbrella water fountain. Walk goes past the castle fortress upon the hill, could walk to that afterwards. or catch the bus up to Fiesole.

Start walk at the waterfall ponte, and walk on the left side of the river, w the  tiny "Duomo" on the righthand side across the river.

Nearby: Piazza Santa Croce, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo (5 min walk; again depending upon how quickly or leisurely the walk is).
