As yesterday was a study day, I didn´t eat out anywhere, but went to one of the usual, though larger, grocery stores, I go to, got ordinary grocery store foods to try. When traveling, or even when in Bergen where I live, I like to just try a few local things too.
Again, as I go here lots, these photos were not all taken yesterday.
The selection of fresh seasonal fruits, veggies, cheeses, meats, dairy, yogurt, milk, desserts, fresh made pastas was wonderfully tempting! Just a very few of the selection:
As it was a study day, just picnic foods, nothing that had to be actually cooked or prepared in any way, so here is what I got and tried:
19Euros, for everything, including tax.
Buccatini (like thick hollow spaghetti) allĂmatriciana (a slightly spicy red sauce, with pancetta). And a piece of the just baked, warm, flat focaccia-like bread called schiaccaiata Toscana. The pasta was 1Euro. The entire bread was 1.71 Euros. I liked the pasta and sauce, and bread, but did not like the pancetta.
A fresh, biological, Italian made plain yogurt, called Bianco Magro. 1.76 Euros for the small baby food sized jar. It was very good!

La Magica al cioccolato. Delicious! A thick deep rich chocolately pudding, with darker chocolate pudding on top, with small pieces of chocolate that had crispies in it. All that topped with a rich creamy pudding, and more lighter chocolate pudding and sprinkles of more bits of chocolate. 1.76Euros. yum!
Multi-layered tiramisu. I already really like tiramisu, and this was delicious, nearly though not quite as good as homemade. Definitely will get this again too. Transcetto tiramisu. 2.69 Euros.
Another chocolate dessert. Tartufo- mousse ai cioccolato con cuore di crema. Thick dark and medium dark mousse, with a liquid dark chocolate sauce inside, topped with dark chocolate mousse. yum. 1.35 Euros.
For sandwiches, I got the focaccia-like bread, Schiacciata Toscana, 1.71 Euros. Sliced, cooked ham, Spalla Cotta, .69 Euros. Cheese, thin sliced, Scramorza Dolce Fette, 1.98 Euros.
